Public Panel: Africa and the Sustainable Development Agendas
Time & Location
About The Event
The African Union’s long-term strategy for the continent’s integration and sustainable development, termed Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want, seeks an ‘Integrated, prosperous and peaceful Africa, driven by its own citizens and representing a dynamic force in the global arena’. Agenda 2063 was produced at the same time as the world was negotiating the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals. This interactive public panel discussion, featuring insights from expert academics and practitioners from Australia and the African continent, will examine the intersections of these macro-frameworks and their likely impacts on Africa’s sustainable development.
